Sylvia Bennett joins BAM! Baird Artists Management Roster

Toronto, February 6, 2008 - Sylvia Bennett, one of America's renowned entertainers, has joined the roster of BAM! Baird Artists Management. Known as "The Timeless Voice", Sylvia toured for years with the legendary Lionel Hampton, recorded two albums with him and their first recording, "Sentimental Journey", was nominated for a Grammy.

"We are proud to be working with an artist of this calibre," notes Robert Baird, President of BAM! "Her voice is vibrant, clear and warm and she delivers every song with incredible artistry."

In 2006, Sylvia Bennett released "There Will Never Be Another You" as a CD/DVD tribute to Lionel Hampton. This led to the 2007 première of the show "The Lady and the Legend." Her latest CD, about to be released, is entitled "Songs from the Heart" and features well-known tenor saxophonists Boots Randolph, Ed Calle and Kirk Whalum.

Critics have lauded her remarkable rich voice, delightful stage presence and intense delivery. She is a charismatic entertainer of whom Lionel Hampton said, "When Sylvia Bennett sings, there is a magic uniting the audience."
